Hi,
Come and join us and spend the Friday 6th December evening at the Better Leisure Centre in Kendal 6.15 pm - 9.45 pm, learning all about how to best look after your pelvic health, with information, entertainment, drinks and nibbles!
We have two amazing speakers coming especially to inform and educate you. The inspirational, local recently retired gynaecologist Surgeon Brian Hancock and from Glossop the inspirational Cherry Baker of Cherry Baker Education.
Brian will be telling us all about ‘What Goes Wrong in Childbirth in Africa’ and about his amazing charity and work fixing the injuries created through births, particularly late births without medical help and how this miraculously improves the lives of African women sadly often shunned by their husbands and families due to their crippling injuries.
Cherry is going to be sharing her expertise and knowledge about pelvic health. It will be presented in a hilarious and informative format. Everything from prolapse to prostrate, stress incontinence, the correct way to strengthen your pelvic floor, when you need a referral to a specialist and ways to improve and avoid problems with the pelvic floor such as weakness, pain, improved sexual function and more...
Grab a friend or a few for this educational event open to all, emotions and giggles are guaranteed!
The evening starts at 6.15 pm with registration, then 6.30 pm Brian's presentation, a short break and refreshments followed by Cherry at 7.30 pm - 9.45 pm. This is a seated event but Cherry will have you standing and sitting and keep you focused and we'll have another break to keep you refreshed!
There is no need to wear exercise clothing!
There will be a raffle on the day, some prizes are: a course of 5 Fitness Dynamics group Pilates classes, a Fitness Dynamics 4 week course of Diamond Pilates (specific to the pelvic floor and pelvic health) and more prizes to follow. If you are a local business and you would like to contribute, please get in touch.
Tickets are £20 and include a glass of wine or soft drink, coffee and tea & nibbles, your fun informative evening and a pelvic floor programme.
All profits from the evening will be shared between two charities:
Brian Hancock's Uganda charities and
The Eve Appeal - Protecting Women From Gynaecological Cancers
Please ask for more information if necessary, including information about my new 4-week Diamond Pilates for Pelvic Heath Courses starting in the New Year, which will include education and specific Pilates exercises to personally help you to improve your pelvic floor strength and learn more about your own and general pelvic health.
